Our bisque is poured using earthenware ceramic liquid slip. Seams are then professionally cleaned, and imperfections are removed/repaired by hand. All pieces are ready for your personal touch using the medium of your choice. Recommended finishes for Cone 04 bisque: acrylic paints, artist chalk, oil paint sticks, or low-fire underglaze/glaze – the choice is yours, let your creativity flow. If you are creating items for food or liquid, please follow the directions provided by your glaze manufacturer to ensure food safe precautions. Please be aware that when using clear glaze, your piece will fire to a cream or ivory tone due to the talc content in our slip formulation. Currently, no adjustments appear necessary for pigmented glazes.

Unless noted accessories are NOT included.

We do our best to source all components used in bisque production in the USA to support our fellow makers and our environment.
